Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly Brooch

This is an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) and it is one of the most recognisable butterflies in North America, distinguished by its pale cream-yellow wings with bold black tiger stripes, and those beautiful powder-blue and orange accent markings on the lower hindwings with the characteristic swallowtail "tails."  The detail on the wing venation is exceptional.
