Australian Swallowtail Butterfly Brooch

This brooch is a Chequered Swallowtail (Papilio demoleus) design also known as the Lime Swallowtail or Lemon Butterfly. It's one of the most widespread swallowtail butterflies in the world and is found across Australia.

The distinctive features that identify it: the black and cream chequered pattern across the wings, the eye-spot markings on the lower hindwings (those blue and red crescents), and the slightly scalloped wing edges.
