JOCELYN'S BIO

Poet. Lover of the Land. Country Soul.

Joss calls the Central West of NSW home — a place of wide skies, open plains, and the quiet strength of rural life. Surrounded by horses, cattle, chooks, sheep and the land she loves, it's this profound connection to agriculture and the Australian landscape that flows through everything she creates.

A poet of depth and feeling, Joss was awarded the prestigious A.B. Paterson Bush Poetry Award — one of Australia's most celebrated honours in bush poetry. Her work reaches into the heart of country life, exploring the beauty, the hardship, and the enduring spirit of the land and its people.

Beyond her art, Joss is equally devoted to the traditions of rural Australia. She recently claimed 1st place in NSW for Merino Fleece in Young Judges and will represent NSW at the National Finals in August — a proud reflection of her deep respect for the land and its craft. She is also the 2026 recipient of the Rob Talbot Award in Merino Sheep and Fleece.

When she's not writing or sculpting, Joss can be found on horseback or on the touch football field — a life lived fully, and felt deeply.
